Though I am afraid this past week has brought with it many events which seem fully intent on my inner sense of justice to spew forth its own brand of bile.
Perhaps I speak of this more.
In any case, a co-worker and I were having a conversation the other day and somehow ‘the Goonies’ made their way into the conversation. To commemorate, I had to post this. Come on now! Share the Goonie Love! Goonies NEVER say die!
I have come to the conclusion that I greatly dislike vomiting for no particular reason.
Did my part, gave my work notice, though I am sure there will be hell to pay for it tomorrow. In any case, now is not the time to worry about that, now to ingest some Pepto-Bismol (thank God for medication) and collapse.
I will try my best to enjoy the, as they claim, ‘wintergreen taste’ of the Pepto.
The dreadfully complex process of Search Engine Optimization.
So many different ideas out there as to the best way of increasing your rank within search engine results. What is the most important factors?
Total numbers of inbound links? Use of meta-tags? Congressional bribes?
All in all, the method for achieving your desired end result comes down to increasing your link popularity.
Perhaps engaging in some good, wholesome reciprocal linking will do the trick? I place your site within my site’s links, you put mine on yours, we all walk away millionaires.
Something tells me it won’t be that easy.
If you have any good tips, tricks, or strategies to increase the traffic to this site, please feel free to let me know!
Apparently, Progressive Direct has teamed up with Universal Studios Home Entertainment to provide a running damge repair estimate display in the HD DVD release of “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”
From the Release: “As cars smack into one another in Tokyo, a display in a small window keeps track: “Roof repair: $209, taillights: $451, fender: $618.’ The calculator is labeled “Progressive Direct: Insurance Damage Estimates.”"
Is this a good idea or a bad one? Personally I think it is an ingenious idea as a potential new avenue for marketing. Will it take off? That I can’t say. Are DVD’s already loaded with more stuff than we are willing to absorb? Alternate endings, deleted scenes, outtakes, commercials for upcoming releases, bios, picture galleries, etc. Can we handle one more? And if it is embedded in the film itself and not just a ‘feature’, such as director commentary, will it turn off the fans who bought the DVD for the movie itself?
Is it merely a creative venue I can use to express myself through words? Are there ways I can capitalize off the power of the web and use my blog to make money? I believe so.
Am I looking to get rich off of this? Of course not. That is what my lottery plans are for. However, as I have stated in the past, any little bit of income I can achieve from it, all the better.
There are a few services out there that help you achieve that.
I am currently trying out a few.
Personally, I believe the ‘blog’ is one of the most powerful tools we, as society, has available to us to spread a message. Be it humor, business, advertising, self-expression, or any of the numerous other things language allows us to do, it seems to deliver it with a personal touch that has the potential to break down the walls that the individual reading it might have put on.
